Day 4 — Application fit-gap (apps 1–3)
Goals for the day
- Walk through 3 of the ~5 NBS applications under review
- Produce a fit-gap read against modern architecture
- Capture the recommendations live, on the page
Format
Each app gets a fixed slot: 30 min walkthrough by NBS owner → 30 min critique + Q&A by MetaWeave → 30 min recommendations captured in writing.
Agenda
| Time | Session |
|---|---|
| 09:30 – 09:45 | Day 3 recap, fit-gap framing |
| 09:45 – 11:15 | App 1 — walkthrough → critique → recommendations |
| 11:15 – 11:30 | Break |
| 11:30 – 13:00 | App 2 — walkthrough → critique → recommendations |
| 13:00 – 14:00 | Lunch |
| 14:00 – 15:30 | App 3 — walkthrough → critique → recommendations |
| 15:30 – 15:45 | Break |
| 15:45 – 16:30 | Cross-app patterns emerging across the three reviews |
| 16:30 – 17:00 | Day 4 retro, Day 5 prep (apps 4–5 + guardrails) |
Fit-gap framework
For each app, MetaWeave evaluates against:
- Architecture fit — bounded contexts, coupling, data flows, async vs sync
- Modern stack alignment — language/runtime, framework, infra primitives
- AI-native readiness — where Agent AI patterns could augment or replace today’s flow
- Operational posture — observability, deployment cadence, on-call surface
- Strategic direction — refactor · replatform · rebuild · retire
